Loudspeaker Earth

Understanding the science of sacred sites through geobiology, sound, and Earth energy

The Earth is Singing

The model that underpins Sacred Network is, in Rory Duff's own phrase, Loudspeaker Earth: the iron-nickel inner core of the planet behaves as a magnetostatic transducer, converting incoming cosmic energy into spherical standing waves of ultra-low frequency sound. In Rory's first post on the subject:

"A model of linear concentrations of ultra-low frequency Earth sounds that are made by spherical standing waves coming from the iron nickel inner core that is acting like a transducer. Welcome to Loudspeaker Earth. Ok so it may not be loud in a sense that we can hear it. These frequencies are much lower than our range of hearing… What is important here is that these spherical standing waves produce straight lines that go right around the Earth at the surface and that standing waves are waves that go both ways." – Rory Duff, The Geobiologist, Post 1 (Loudspeaker Earth)

The frequencies Rory measured from the inner core ran from 5.7 to 35.12 microhertz – far below the range of human hearing, but, at higher harmonics, identical to the long-documented "mysterious Earth hum" recorded at 2,900–4,500 microhertz (Post 3). The source energy is cosmic: galactic cosmic rays striking our atmosphere convert to gamma rays and neutrinos, and the high-energy neutrinos refract slightly through the inner core, giving it the energy that drives the standing-wave system (Post 2).

Where these lines intersect, energy nodes form. These are the locations our ancestors recognised as sacred sites – and they built their stone circles, temples, and cathedrals precisely upon them.

Built on the Work of Rory Duff

Sacred Network was founded by Rory Duff – a geobiologist, author, and researcher who spent over 15 years mapping the Earth's major energy lines and their intersections across more than 50 countries. A geologist and engineer by training, Rory combined rigorous scientific method with dowsing fieldwork to produce the most comprehensive map of planetary energy lines ever assembled.

Rory authored nine books spanning geobiology, sacred geometry, prophecy, and spiritual fiction. His Instagram series "The Geobiologist" ran to over 400 posts and became a foundational resource for thousands of seekers worldwide.

He tracked the six pairs of Emperor Dragon lines around the globe, identified the seven 1st Order nodes on land, and discovered that the four annual Harmony Windows (solstices and equinoxes) represent moments when all energy lines synchronise onto the same frequency – creating conditions for expanded consciousness at sacred sites.

Rory's vision was always bigger than one person's research. He wanted a living network – a community platform where his mapped sites could be explored, where practitioners could share their work, and where group meditation at nodes during Harmony Windows could be coordinated globally. Sacred Network is that vision made real.

Rory passed away before the platform launched, but his work carries forward in everything here: every site classification, every node order, every Emperor Dragon route, and every Harmony Window projection comes from his fieldwork. The community he imagined – seekers connecting at sacred sites, sharing observations, evolving together – is now growing daily.

His research continues through the practitioners, dowsers, and geobiologists who trained with him and who now contribute to expanding the network. If you visit a site and feel something, trust that. Rory always said the energy is the instructor – all we have to do is sit within it.

How Nodes Form

The standing-wave system produces straight lines that wrap around the Earth at the surface, running in pairs (because standing waves travel both ways). At symmetrical intersections of these line pairs, three-dimensional sound shapes form. The first of these Rory described is the cylinder:

"It is at some of the symmetrical linear high pressure intersections that we find interesting 3D sound shapes. What you can see here is as a result of two pairs of Energy lines that cross over at the same place. Where they all intersect you find these columns of energy… in reality the column goes high up into the atmosphere and also down into the ground. In a simple way to understand it, it seems that pipe like columns of sound are formed with the sound energy spinning around the annulus region… Live on these sounds and you will be on the ride of your life or for your life." – Rory Duff, The Geobiologist, Post 8 (Cylindrical node energy)

The Harmony Windows

Four times a year – at the solstices and equinoxes – all energy lines come into the same frequency, and a window of harmony begins. In Rory's own description:

"Just four times a year all the energy lines move onto the same frequency. A time of harmony begins which can last anything from half a day up to six days depending on several variables. Although the length of the harmony time varies, it always starts on the last day of the sun cycle – the day before the Solstices and Equinoxes. At a few, very special, sound intersections you get the double torus shape of energy, with a vortex within it, occurring." – Post 10 (The Double Torus)

The Expanding Harmony

These windows are lengthening as cosmic energy increases. Current duration is approximately 9 days per window. Projections from Rory's own measurements show each window continuing to extend over the coming years – eventually approaching 91–92 days, nearly continuous. This marks a smooth entry into potentially constant resonance lasting around 200 years, as our solar system fully enters the galactic current sheet – a ~12,000-year cycle Rory wrote about extensively in Grail Bound.

Node Classification

The classification table below was first published in Rory's pocketbook A Guide to Leylines, Earth Energy lines, Nodes & Large Vortexes and is summarised in The Geobiologist, Post 97. It is, in his own words, "the first ever classification of lines and their nodes." On the importance of the system:

"It is absolutely no help to anyone if you say I have found an energy line. What type was it? What direction was it heading and what nodes does it connect to and what Order nodes are they and do they need to be repaired? These are the key questions now." – Rory Duff, Post 97 (A classification of Leylines, Earth Energies and Nodes)
1st Order

Absolute Coordinate Points

The most powerful nodes on Earth. Only 7 exist on land (2 more at sea). Found where the lowest frequency, most powerful Type 5 Emperor Dragon lines create their primary intersections. These are the "gateways to the gods" – places that connect all Spirit Worlds. The named examples on Rory's 1st Order map: Mount Kailash, Uluru, La Bastida (Spain), Castle Hill / Kura Tawhiti (NZ), the Solomon Islands node, and a single confidential Peru location. The seventh remains undisclosed for the protection of its local community (Post 97).

2nd Order

Major Planetary Nodes

Fewer than 40 worldwide. Two pairs of Type 4 lines plus one Emperor Dragon (Type 5) line joining them. Named on Rory's 2nd Order map: Goumima (the lost Knights Templar fort in the Atlas Mountains, Post 302), Lourdes, Lalibela, Dhankar Monastery, Kolne Cathedral, Muxima, Debre Bizen Monastery, K Springs (California), the Ronda dolmen, and the Chapel of the Virgin Mary on Madeira.

3rd Order

Continental Nodes

25 mapped by Rory worldwide. Major intersections carrying strong Emperor Dragon influence. Named examples include Rocamadour, Shaman Rock, Monte d'Accoddi, Montsaunes, Mt Yengo, Shankaracharya (Srinegar) – the hill where Yuz Asaf / Jesus is buried according to local tradition (Posts 203–205) – Garden of the Gods, Troyes, the Menga Dolmen, and Mount Cavo.

4th Order

Regional Sacred Sites

A few thousand worldwide – 113 explicitly mapped on Rory's 4th Order map. Two pairs of Type 4 lines crossing over (no Emperor Dragon). Examples named directly in Post 97: Glastonbury, Jerusalem, Mecca, Giza, Newgrange. Plus Chartres, Coventry, Skellig Michael, the Hill of Tara, Ring of Brodgar, Callanish, Sarmizegetusa Regia, Carahunge, Montsegur, Devils Tower, Goseck, Almendres, and Conway, Arkansas. The distinction from 2nd Order is the absence of an Emperor Dragon at the crossing.

5th Order

Local Power Points

The most numerous nodes – 131 on Rory's 5th Order map. Single pair crossings of Type 4 lines. Named examples: Avebury, Big Horn Medicine Wheel, Borobudur, Mont Saint-Michel, Castlerigg, Bryn Celli Dhu, Bourges Cathedral, Carn Lês Boel, Knowlton Henge, Rennes-le-Château, Pilot Mountain, Grave Creek Mound. Many parish churches, holy wells, and standing stones mark 5th Order locations – ideal for regular practice.

Tracking the Emperor Dragons

The six pairs of Emperor Dragon (Type 5) lines are being mapped around the globe by tracking them from known 1st Order nodes. The 5th Emperor Dragon reappeared at the beginning of 2019 and has been tracked through:

Route 1: Spain (Murcia 1st Order node) → Sardinia (Monte d'Accoddi) → Eastern Mediterranean

Route 2: Spain → France → Belgium → Holland → Germany → Denmark → Sweden → Finland → Russia (Solovetsky Islands)

Route 3: Peru → Bolivia (Samaipata) → Brazil

Route 4: Mt Kailash → Pakistan (Mehrgarh) → West-Southwest

These lines are 150–200 meters wide and pass through sites of extraordinary significance. Many unknown ancient sacred sites have been discovered simply by tracking where these lines go.

Lines That Move

Energy lines are not permanently fixed. They can move away from places where intense negative emotions have regularly occurred – depraved rituals and human sacrifice at sacred sites cause Type 4 lines to retreat, breaking up the power behind those nodes.

Lines can also be anchored in place using specific techniques. Stone circles were often built at locations where powerful nodes were held anchored for the benefit of local people. When the anchor is lost, the node can shift – explaining why some stone circles no longer sit on active energy.

Different energetic sites have different functions and benefits. Knowledge of which frequency does what, and how to work with nodes, was once widespread but was gradually lost as cosmic energy decreased over the last 12,000 years.

Energy Line Types

The linear concentrations of sound energy are classified by frequency and power:

Type 5 – Emperor Dragons
The largest and most powerful lines in the world. Only six pairs circle the globe. Where they cross: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Order nodes.
Type 4 – Major Ley Lines
The largest lines within any country. Run in pairs along straight alignments (leys). Their intersections create 4th and 5th Order nodes – the most common sacred sites.
Type 3 – Regional Lines
Medium-power lines that add complexity to nodes. When combined with Type 4 crossings, they create 4th Order nodes.
Type 2 – Local Lines
More numerous, lower-power lines forming the fine mesh of the Earth's energy grid. Their intersections mark smaller sacred spots – springs, ancient trees, small chapels.
Type 1 – Divine Feminine Lines
The most numerous energy lines. Where four pairs of Type 1 lines cross – an extremely rare configuration – a divine feminine energy node forms. These are associated with sacred springs, holy wells, high priestesses, and healing. Mycenae in Greece is one such site. Most are marked by small chapels.
Type 0 – Background Field
The most numerous sound frequencies. Too many to map individually but forming the continuous energy field within which we all live.

What This Means For You

We are all immersed in these sound energies whether we know it or not. Some frequencies promote health and consciousness expansion. Others – particularly the Moon Phase lines – can contribute to physical and mental health problems if we live or work on them for extended periods.

The sacred sites mapped on this network are the beneficial intersections: places where the geometry of sound creates conditions for healing, insight, meditation, and expanded awareness. Visiting them – especially during the Harmony Windows around the solstices and equinoxes – is to step into a field of energy that our ancestors built civilizations around.

Getting Started

Find a sacred site near you on our map. Visit during a Harmony Window (around the solstices and equinoxes). Spend time in stillness at the node point. Many people feel the energy immediately in their feet, chest, or forehead. Trust your body's response – it already knows how to receive.

Working with the Moon

The Moon factors into the sacred landscape in two distinct ways – one to do with the land, one to do with timing.

Moon Phase Lines

Part of Rory's geobiological model (Geobiologist, Post 7), Moon Phase lines are energy lines tied to the Moon's phases. Unlike the beneficial node intersections this network maps, prolonged exposure to a Moon Phase line – living or working on one for extended periods – can contribute to physical and mental strain rather than support it.

The Void-of-Course Moon

A timing consideration from astrological tradition: in the hours between the Moon's last major aspect and its move into the next sign, the Moon is "void of course" – an unsettled window in which little of what is begun tends to carry. Avoid holding celebrations, initiations, or focused ceremony at a node while the Moon is void of course; plan your gathering for when it isn't.
