Overview
The Sacra di San Michele occupies a peak deliberately chosen for its position along the great Michael Line, a continental-scale energy corridor dedicated to the archangel of spiritual warfare and higher vision. The abbey's vertiginous architecture amplifies the mountain's naturally ascending energy, creating a powerful upward draw that visitors feel as a lifting sensation in the chest and crown. Standing at this threshold between earth and sky, one encounters the fierce clarity associated with Michaelic sites worldwide.

History, Archaeology & Significance
The Sacra di San Michele is a medieval abbey dramatically perched at 962 meters on the summit of Monte Pirchiriano in Piedmont, Italy, founded between 983 and 987 CE. The complex grew over several centuries with its massive foundation walls rising directly from the rocky peak, becoming one of the most important monastic sites along the Via Francigena pilgrimage route. It is said to stand on the ley line of St. Michael that connects Mont Saint-Michel in France to Monte Sant'Angelo in southern Italy.
