Energy Node

Mount Kaputah

NSW, Australia

Overview

Mount Kaputar emanates the deep, ancient energy of an eroded volcanic system where millions of years of geological process have refined and concentrated the original fire-energy into a mature, stable frequency. The elevation creates a natural separation from lowland consciousness, facilitating spiritual retreat and vision. The Kamilaroi recognized this as a place of power where creation energies remain active. Visitors report a quality of pristine clarity at the summit and a sense of accessing very ancient earth memory. The isolation and intact ecology contribute to an unusually clean, undisturbed energy field.

History, Archaeology & Significance

Mount Kaputar is a 1,510-meter peak in the Nandewar Range of northern New South Wales, Australia, within the traditional country of the Kamilaroi (Gamilaraay) people. The mountain is the eroded remnant of a shield volcano active approximately 17-21 million years ago. For the Kamilaroi, the Nandewar Range holds deep spiritual significance as a site of creation stories and ceremonial practice. The mountain is now the centerpiece of Mount Kaputar National Park, known for its unusual pink slug species found nowhere else on Earth and its frost-hollows at elevation.
