Israel

Overview

The mountain carries an energy of prophetic fire and spiritual confrontation, where false idols are burned away and truth stands revealed. Its position between Mediterranean Sea and fertile valley creates a meeting point of elemental waters and earth that amplifies prayer and devotion. History, Archaeology & Significance

Mount Carmel is a coastal mountain range in northern Israel sacred to Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i Faith. The prophet Elijah is said to have confronted the priests of Baal here in the 9th century BC, and the mountain gave rise to the Carmelite religious order in the 12th century. The Baha'i World Centre's terraced gardens cascade down the mountainside in Haifa, completing the mountain's multi-faith sacred identity.
