Overview
The oasis channels life-giving water through desert bedrock, creating a concentrated node where the element of water demonstrates its sacred power against the vast mineral stillness of the Saharan fringe. Ancient trade routes crossing here left layers of human intention and spiritual exchange from multiple traditions embedded in the earth. The site holds a quality of sustenance and refuge, where the desert's harsh clarity meets the generous abundance of hidden underground rivers.

History, Archaeology & Significance
Goumima is an ancient oasis town in the Ziz Valley of southeastern Morocco, situated along historic trans-Saharan trade routes between the Mediterranean world and sub-Saharan Africa. The town features traditional ksour (fortified villages) built from rammed earth, with some structures dating back several centuries. Its position in the Ziz gorge corridor made it a vital waypoint where Berber, Arab, and sub-Saharan cultures converged.
Rory's Field Notes
A 2nd Order node – one of fewer than 40 in the world. Has two pairs of Type 4 linear concentrations of earth energy, plus one of the Emperor Dragons joining them. This is an incredibly powerful place where meditation and prayer appeal to many. On this site there is a long-lost Knights Templar Fort that archaeologists and local historians do not know about. The Templars built it so far south and hidden from civilisation because this particular group were spiritual seekers drawn to the powerful energies of the 2nd Order node. The fort was only discovered by tracking the Emperor Dragons around the world looking for these 2nd Order nodes – tucked away overlooking a tiny oasis in the middle of the Atlas Mountains.
