Overview
The steep mountain amphitheater focuses telluric energy rising through geological faults into a palpable field of prophetic receptivity. The site activates the inner oracle, opening channels of intuition and dissolving the veil between present awareness and deeper knowing. Standing among the ruins, many feel the presence of an ancient intelligence still whispering through the stones and mountain winds.

History, Archaeology & Significance
Delphi served as the most important oracle site in the ancient Greek world from the 8th century BC onward, situated on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. The Temple of Apollo housed the Pythia, a priestess who delivered prophecies while seated over a fissure emitting intoxicating vapors. The Greeks considered Delphi the omphalos, the navel of the world, marked by a sacred stone where two eagles sent by Zeus met.
Rory's Field Notes
The Oracle of Delphi sits on a major sound intersection. The Omphalos stone found here is another symbol representing the linear concentrations of spherical standing waves of sound coming from the inner core. The bands on the stone going in several directions with different widths match the energy patterns found at nodes. The Oracle's prophetic abilities may have been linked to the consciousness-expanding properties of these sound intersections.
