Overview
Cerro Mastrigo pulses with the raw, primal energy of Iberian megalithic consciousness, connecting to one of Europe's oldest traditions of sacred landscape engineering. The hilltop position creates a strong connection between earth and sky energies, with the granite bedrock acting as both anchor and amplifier. Visitors experience a sense of deep antiquity and connection to a pre-linguistic form of spiritual awareness, one that communicated through stone, alignment, and the body's direct perception of earth forces. The site carries an initiatory energy that strips away cultural conditioning, revealing more fundamental layers of human spiritual capacity.

History, Archaeology & Significance
Cerro Mastrigo in the Extremadura region of Spain is associated with the megalithic culture that flourished in the Iberian Peninsula from approximately 5000 to 3000 BC. Extremadura contains one of the highest concentrations of dolmens, menhirs, and stone circles in Europe, indicating intensive ritual use of the landscape throughout the Neolithic and Chalcolithic periods. The megalithic builders constructed elaborate funerary and ceremonial monuments aligned with astronomical events, reflecting a sophisticated cosmological understanding. The region's granite landscape provided abundant building material, and many sites are positioned on hilltops or ridgelines to maximise their visibility and connection to celestial phenomena.
